As believers, we are living in anticipation of a glorious day- the Second Coming of Jesus Christ!
The Bible teaches us that Jesus will return to earth, and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that HE IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.
(Philippians 2:10-11)
The Bible outlines various signs that will precede Jesus’ return including:
1. Increase in wickedness: A rise in sin, rebellion and disregard for God’s laws. (Matthew 24:12)
2. Global turmoil: Wars, conflicts, and natural disasters will intensify (Matthe 24:6-7)
3.Deception: Many will be led astray by false teachings and deceivers (Mathew 24:4-5)
4. Israel’s restoration: The rebirth of Israel and its significance in the end times (Ezekiel 36-37)
As we await Jesus’ return:
1. Stay vigilant: Be watchful, prayerful, and attentive to God’s Word. Matthew 24:42-44)
2. Share the Gospel : Proclaim the Good News to a lost and dying world. (Matthew 28:18-20)
3. Live holy lives: Pursue righteousness, holiness, and obedience to God’s commands(1 John 3:3)
4. Encourage one another : Build each other up in faith, hope, and love. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
The Second coming of Jesus Christ is a blessed hope promising:
1. Redemption: Believers will be glorified, and their bodies will be transformed.
(1 Corinthians 15: 51-54)
2. Reunion: We will be reunited with loved ones who have gone before us (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
3 Eternal Glory: We will enter into eternal life, worshipping and serving God forever (Revelation 21-22)
Wake Up!!!
The second coming of Jesus Christ is Near!
Let us live with anticipation, preparation and hope. May our lives reflect the Glory of God, and may we shine as lights in a dark world, pointing others to Jesus and His soon return.
